An Indoor Oasis of Nature Inspired Paintings

This client brought me in to address several spaces in her home, the first priority being the family room. A large wall was the perfect place to highlight a piece of statement art. I sourced this gorgeous 48×72 in. original painting by local artist Megan Elizabeth. The cool blue tones with soft grays and whites perfectly complement the client’s sleek furniture and elegant architectural trim work. Fittingly, this painting is called “Oasis,” which is exactly what the client was hoping to create in this space.

Additionally, I sourced a soft landscape and an abstract pair for the dining room. I love how despite the different art styles on display here, the colors tie these pieces together so thoughtfully. The landscape received gorgeous custom framing that really set it off in the space.

Finally, in the primary bedroom, I sourced this outstanding painting on wood panel. The delicate composition is brought to life through layers of paint that the artist buffs out in the final stages of her work. This process reveals underlayers that come softly into focus. Tiny details are waiting to be discovered by the viewer: birds, leaves, and flowers abound. These painted natural elements bring the outdoors in and create a peaceful setting for the client to retreat to. I also recommended that the client paint the primary bedroom this deep shade of blue to truly make this painting shine on their wall.

It was a joy to work with someone who is not only passionate about what they do, but also able to listen to our needs and ensure we realized the fullest potential for each individual project. Every room in my house now gives me a reason to smile and appreciate a unique and personal aesthetic that I could never have accomplished on my own.
