Contemporary Art at Work

Architectural motifs and colorful geometric shapes unite this workplace art collection. The client wanted to display original artwork to add visual interest to his workplace setting. We talked about creating a sophisticated workplace environment that reflects both the metropolitan and global nature of his business.

I recommended this fabulous fine art photograph of scenes captured and then digitally stitched together of Palermo, Sicily. This piece is printed on aluminum rather than paper, which creates a beautifully crisp image. Additionally, the work does not have to be framed behind glass, inviting the viewer to really get up close and explore its many details.

We added a statement abstract painting on canvas above the sofa. Oversized shapes and bold color are perfectly balanced by the artist’s understanding and use of negative space.

Finally, I sourced this incredible painting on canvas that somehow conveys both an urban city and colorful abstraction. These complex compositions are dreamed up and constructed by the artist. While standing up close to the painting, your eye takes in seemingly disparate shapes of color. It’s only by standing back that one starts to stitch the scene together: the mind fills in the gaps and visual cues suggest a vibrant urban scene.

Taken all together, these three original artworks create a wonderful visual dialogue. Form and color come together in harmony, inviting the viewer to explore shapes both large and small.
