This client wanted to add fine art pieces to the entertaining spaces of his home. We selected two stunning original artworks, one for the family room and one for the dining room. The landscape in the family room has a soft, muted palette that perfectly complements the natural tones in the stonework of the nearby fireplace surround. I recommended a custom framing design that gives this piece an elegant finished edge. In the dining room, we selected a gorgeous blue abstract on panel by Dixie Purvis. I love how the viewer is pulled in to explore the many layers of paint. A few warm tones that are visible through the blue are a wonderful nod to the earthy neutrals in the family room. These two paintings are a lovely meditation on the natural elements of both earth and water, creating a calming space for my client to welcome both family and friends.
