Client Project: New Dining Room Artwork Completes This Modern Do-It-All Space

Hey all! Who could used some seriously gorgeous dining room artwork inspiration right about now?! For a recent project, a client asked me to find artwork for her dining room walls. She had recently purchased new furniture for the space from West Elm and wanted the walls to feel similarly refreshed.

Get Lost by Jess Franks

After an initial consultation with the client, where we discussed style and budget, I immediately thought of the artist Jess Franks. Franks is known for her bright, colorful, and slightly abstracted landscapes. In addition to her original paintings, Franks also offers an amazing selection of limited edition fine art prints through Minted.

The client and I both loved the limited edition print, Get Lost, for her dining room. I selected a 30×40 in. gallery wrapped canvas to fill the space and eliminate the need for framing.

With a gallery wrapped canvas, the image “wraps” around the sides of the artwork. This gives the canvas piece a clean, finished look without framing.

The client also wanted to bring a textile piece into the space. I sourced this beautiful, handmade yarn wall hanging from an independent artist on Etsy.

Shop it on Etsy HERE.

I absolutely LOVE how the late afternoon sunlight interacts with this wall hanging in the client’s dining room.

And can we just talk about how eye-catching the reflection is in an adjacent mirror??? GORGEOUS.

We finished the space with 2 original wood cut collages on paper by the artist Beth Munro.

Framing completed the look and allowed me to properly install these paper pieces. The client and I both loved this gray wash gallery frame (featuring oversized matting) from West Elm.

While this exact size frame is not currently available (as of the writing of this post), you can shop other sizes from this collection HERE.
