Meet Christina! She’s a DC area artist who paints using bold colors and structured compositions that nod to her original training as an architect and industrial designer. If you follow me on Instagram, then you may already recognize her work!

Tilted Towards the Sun No. 2

Tilted Towards the Sun No. 2, Christina Flowers, acrylic on canvas, 20×24 in.

From her Tilted Towards the Sun series, this bright and cheery painting became the perfect backdrop for my client’s Zoom calls.

You may recall that Christina was also a part of my first ever Instagram contest last year! I partnered with my friend Emily (@ehj_creative) and some of our favorite female artists to give away some amazing handcrafted holiday ornaments to one lucky winner!!

Wanderlust: A New Series by Christina Flowers

Christina is sharing a brand new body of work in an exhibition entitled, Wanderlust – A Year of Reimagined Travel, Adventure, and Exploration. Even better? This new body of work is going on display at the beautiful Martha Spak Gallery located at District Wharf in DC (Martha Spak is another amazing DC area artist – you can read all about her work and her gallery HERE.)

Wanderlust – A Year of Reimagined Travel, Adventure, and Exploration will be on display April 26 – May 29 at Martha Spak Gallery.

In my art practice, I strive to celebrate fleeting moments of wonder. By painting the emotion along with the physical, I aim to take extraordinary moments and freeze them in time to be relived over and over. This collection is a celebration of these discovered moments.
